Baller Alert caught up with Tika Sumpter on the ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood Awards Red Carpet, where she talks about the things that she has learned about herself and more.
When asked what she’s learned most about herself through her journey, she responded with, “Not everybody’s gonna love you, and that’s okay. As you grow and experience in age, you realize that you get more comfortable in your skin, and you’re okay with a lot of things.”
As she continued, she said, “You don’t have to chase. You don’t have to chase, just do the work, and it will come to you, and they will come to you. Don’t worry, God’s got you.”
Elsewhere, she also opened up acting, telling different stories, her character on “Mixed-Ish,” and more.
