In a press conference given by Sgt. Evan Antley of the Cayce Department of Public Safety, shocking new details have surfaced in the murder case of six-year-old, Faye Swetlik.

“Before we get into this too far, I want everyone to continue to pray for Faye Swetlik.” The police official had just that one request.

Faye Swetlik, 6, went missing while playing in her yard after school on Monday. Neighbors were questioned for clues and answers. During the critical manhunt, an undisclosed piece of evidence lead investigators back to the home of 30-year-old, Coty Scott Taylor. Taylor was found dead in his home of 602 Piccadilly Square in the Churchill Heights area, less than 500 feet from Faye’s home in Londonderry Square.

Investigators later found Faye’s body during a trash can search in a wooded area near her Cayce, South Carolina home on Thursday morning.

Police are still interested in the deceased, Taylor’s whereabouts during Faye’s disappearance. Officials are convinced Faye’s body was at her discovery location very long before she was found there.

Both deaths are being combined as one case, and police have confirmed there are no other suspects or persons of interest in Faye’s homicide, and no arrest has been made either. Taylor had no criminal history.

The causes of death for both Faye and Taylor have not been released. Their autopsies are scheduled for Saturday.
