G.O.O.D Music rapper, Pusha T, had a bad experience at a Virginia Beach bar and he’s taken to social media to tell all about it. “Venue sports lounge on Great Neck Rd in Virginia Beach definitely wins award for most racist establishment in the 757,” tweeted Pusha T. “Venue sports lounge doesn’t respect black business and makes black patrons stand outside while letting whites in. In 2015.”
According to Pusha T, he arrived at Venue 112 Rock N Sports Lounge last night with friends and upon arrival overheard the club owner tell one of the doormen that they were “guest list only” tonight. Pusha T says they were made to wait outside while white patrons were allowed in, and the “guest list only” excuse didn’t make sense considering one of the doormen had already put a wristband on one of Pusha T’s guests.
Pusha has been using social media to go at the establishment for hours with no response. “No one in the 757should support or patronize Venue sports lounge in VA Beach or any other racist establishments in the area,” he urges fans, also claiming that many have contacted him with similar experiences. Back in September of 2014, one person left a Yelp review saying that his friends were turned away at the door because of a “guest list” but no one who entered after them were checked. A customer tells a similar story in November 2014 and another in June of 2013 — you get the picture.
Will the negative press from Pusha T shed light on these practices? Hopefully so. Check out his posts below.
