John Conner III, the former reality TV dance coach who was charged in 2016 for exposing a 16-year-old teen he met online to HIV, has been sentenced to 9 months in prison.
According to the Memphis District Attorney General, 30-year-old Conner must complete four years of sex offender probation after he’s released from prison and will be a registered sex offender for the duration of his life. ⠀
Connor, known as “Coach John” on Lifetime’s hit reality TV show, Bring It, coached the Memphis team, Infamous Dancerettes.
In 2015, Connor met the young man online, and eventually, the two had unprotected sex. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
After hearing of Connor’s HIV status, the young man alerted his parents to his relationship with Connor.
In 2019, Connor pleaded guilty to felony criminal exposure to HIV, statutory rape, and solicitation of a minor, after the teen tested positive for HIV.
However, Connor’s troubles are far from over as there are two other cases involving a 17-year-old and 24-year-old sexual partners.
