In addition to maintaining a historic role as a liaison between the sports and fashion arenas, the All-Star Thunder guard scores again! This time, Sports Spectacular proudly honored Russell Westbrook with the Spirit Award presented by Joe Jonas.

Hosted by Jim Hill, John Salley, and Kevin Frazier, Sports Spectacular offered fans the chance to come to the event to meet and sit with Westbrook and other top athletes and celebrity guests during the dinner portion of the ceremony. Original sports novelties signed by top athletes were also auctioned throughout the evening where eighty percent of the earnings benefited Sports Spectacular and Westbrook’s Why Not Foundation,dedicated to empowering youth to be fearless by offering resources for them to succeed through adversity.

Sports Spectacular has recognized some of the greatest athletes and sports personalities in history, from all-time greats like Muhammad Ali, Wayne Gretzky and Joe DiMaggio, to more recent all-stars like Chris Paul, David Beckham and Kobe Bryant. With the help of these athletes and sports figures, Sports Spectacular has raised over $24 Million for Cedars-Sinai Medical Center to eradicate diabetes and obesity in the nation. This year celebrity attendees included Jordan Clarkson, Robert Horry, Marcus Scribner, and more.
