Marion “Suge” Knight’s current murder charge has been full of twists and turns. Most recently the key witness (and one of the victims), actor Cle “Bones” Sloan, blamed himself for everything that transpired, saying he was the aggressor in the incident that left his friend Terry Carter dead. If that wasn’t enough, he also refused to identify Marion Knight as the driver of the vehicle, and because of that Suge wants the entire case thrown out.
“There is nowhere in this transcript that Mr. Sloan ever identifies Marion Knight, the defendant, as a murderer,” Suge’s attorney wrote in his motion. “There is nowhere in the entire transcript that Mr. Sloan even identifies Marion Knight as a driver of the red truck in question; the red truck that hit the victims.”
Oh, but there’s a twist. The prosecution says that although Sloan didn’t name Marion Knight as the driver, he did say “Suge”. They also provided other evidence that reinforced Knight’s alleged involvement.
