ViacomCBS’ Entertainment & Youth Brands Join Forces For Social Distancing Campaign: #AloneTogether

The coronavirus has now been confirmed in every U.S. state. As the worldwide total of cases reaches 200,000, celebrities and Hollywood mediums are using their platforms to bring awareness to social distancing.

Government officials are begging U.S. residents to remain home amid the current outbreak, to avoid further spread of the serious illness.

ViacomCBS’ Entertainment & Youth Brands are coming together to enforce a new campaign titled ‘#AloneTogether,’ according to Deadline.

Networks participating in the Ad Council, include MTV, Comedy Central, Paramount Network, CMT, and VH1.

#AloneTogether is a national campaign that raises awareness about social distancing to “promote safety and unity in the coronavirus era.”

According to Deadline, ViacomCBS is describing the movement as a “national social- and talent-led campaign that educators audiences on the importance of    social distancing and drives unity through entertainment.”

“A focus on mental health is a vital part of the effort, underscoring that social distancing does not mean social isolation,” the network said.

Other ViacomCBS networks to participate and support the campaign include Nickelodeon, BET, CBS, and CBS All-Access, Awesomeness, Pluto Tv, and Showtime, the outlet confirms.

Celebrities apart of the campaign include members of the casts of popular shows, including ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race,’ ‘Schitt’s Creek,’ ‘Jersey Shore Vacation,’ and ‘Black Ink Crew.’

Late-night hosts Trevor Noah and David Spade from Comedy Central will also be featured in the campaign, sharing content amongst their over half-billion social media followings.
