The world may be going through a pandemic, but you don’t have to let social distancing stop you from seeing the world. Thanks to technology, visiting a museum or going to the zoo is still possible, and to make it even better, the cost of admission is free. Many iconic places, including The Metropolitan Museum Of Art, The Louvre, and the San Diego Zoo, have offered an innovative way for audiences to still experience their works all from the comfort of their own home.

If you download the Google Earth app, you can take the most breathtaking tour of Hawaii. Visitors may not be able to experience the near-perfect temperatures or feel the sand underneath their feet like a normal getaway, but you will be able to tour some of the state’s historic landmarks.

China may not be the first place on your list to travel these days, but you can still access one of the greatest wonders of the world and see the Great Wall of China via www.thechinaguide.com. If you are an animal lover, you can view the websites of the Georgia Aquarium, San Diego Zoo, and Monterey Bay Aquarium to virtually visit their animal exhibits.

If you’re missing the outdoors, Yellowstone and Yosemite National Parks are also offering virtual tours that allow visitors to follow the trails. For art lovers, over 2,500 galleries and museums are now available thanks to their partnership with Google Arts and Culture. Audiences can enjoy world-famous museums like The Louvre in Paris, France. New York City’s Museum of Modern Art and Amsterdam’s Van Gogh Museum without ever having to leave the house.
