Princess Cruise Lines has just been hit with three lawsuits from former passengers who are claiming that the cruise line was negligent in allowing them to travel on the Grand Princess when the company was knowledgeable of Coronavirus exposure on board. According to new legal docs obtained by TMZ, Jeffrey and Anabel Jones, along with Eddy Castellanos, are suing for at least $1 million in damages.

This suit joins last month’s suit filed by Ronald and Eva Weissberger, who also alleged that the ship’s staff was aware that at least two other passengers with Coronavirus had just disembarked from a previous voyage. However, the cruise line conducted no testing, and any screening process was insufficient.

According to TMZ, all three passengers of the new claim state that the cruise company should have handled the situation better considering what happened with the Diamond Princess, which was quarantined off the coast of Japan due to Coronavirus concerns before the Grand Princess set sail from San Francisco and was quarantined in the Bay Area waters for a week. Princess Cruise Lines also owns the Diamond Princess ship.

The lawsuit also claims that defendants did not receive an email that was allegedly sent to former Princess Cruise Line passengers on February 25th to inform them of the risk of the virus.

To make matters worse, two of the three passengers suing in the newest suit are elderly, which puts them more at risk for deadly complications if they contract the illness.
