Tekashi69 just got rejected big time in his bid for home confinement.
According to TMZ, a judge has denied his request to serve out the remainder of his prison sentence at home in an effort to avoid contracting the coronavirus.
In new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, the judge said the court lacks the legal authority to grant the rapper’s request, admitting that his hands are tied.
But, the judge’s response did imply that Tekashi might want to take his chances and file his request directly with the Bureau of Prisons, instead.
In fact, Lance Lazzaro, Tekashi’s attorney, may do just that as he told TMZ he believes the judge’s decision “is a strong recommendation to the BOP to release him immediately.”
The judge also explained in his rejection response that if he had known at the time of the rapper’s sentencing that there would be a global pandemic, coupled with the information that Tekashi’s health history makes him vulnerable- the court would have directed the final four months to be served in home confinement in his original ruling.
