Every year before the start of the NFL season, HBO selects one team to showcase on its hit series Hard Knocks. This year, the Houston Texans have been chosen as the latest NFL team to be featured on this documentary-style reality show. This will be the first time that the Texans appear on Hard Knocks since the series was created in 2001. Football fans will get the chance to follow the Texans as they go through the ups and downs of training camp and preseason and watch how the team prepares for the upcoming season. The Texans were chosen over the Redskins and the Bills, two other teams that HBO was highly interested in featuring.
Some of the storylines that viewers can look forward to include Jadeveon Clowney, the #1 overall draft pick in last year’s draft, coming back after a season-ending knee injury, the new rookies, including Wake Forest’s Kevin Johnson Mississippi State’s Benardrick McKinney, and Arizona State’s Jaelen Strong, getting adjusted to life in the NFL, and of course J.J.Watt being J.J. Watt and showing everybody what a beast he is on the field.
This season of Hard Knocks promises a good mix of drama, comedy, and of course lots of football. Will you be watching?
