Fans Shocked To Learn Marsha Ambrosius Sang On Justin Timberlake’s “Cry Me A River”

Almost the whole Instagram witnessed Scott Storch going up against Mannie Fresh in an Instagram Live battle of super-producers earlier this quarantine week. During Scott’s set, he played Justin Timberlake’s Grammy-winning hit “Cry Me a River,” which Scott produced. Little did fans know, certain important parts of the song were sung by soul singer Marsha Ambrosius.

Which part? The high-pitched “cry me, cry me” ad-libs … that wasn’t Justin’s voice. It was Marsha, and fans couldn’t handle the the 17 years of deception. “Wait a minute….. you mean to tell me that Marsha Ambrosius is the one singing the end of Cry Me A River, NOT Justin?! Man… get his ass the entire F_CK outta here bruh.”

While most didn’t know about the addition of Marsha to the song, some online had mixed feelings. One Twitter user wrote, “Y’all are not about to sit up here on Iyanla Vanzant’s internet and act like Justin Timberlake stole Cry Me a River from Marsha Ambrosious because she sang the last like 20 seconds of the song.”

A few fans even went after Justin, claiming he never gives credit to those who contribute to his musical greatness behind the scenes. “You know, the 3rd single from that album, Rock Your Body, also included vocals from another female singer that was also not credited on the track! It should say Justin Timberlake featuring … but it doesn’t! Shady sh*t!”
