As if anyone was wondering what Roseanne Barr thought at a time like this, the comedian and former sitcom star gave her insight on the current coronavirus pandemic sweeping the world.
Speaking to Norm Macdonald on Sunday night for the Quarantined With Norm Macdonald YouTube talk show, the comedian summed up the COVID-19 outbreak to one basic theory: the government attempting to wipe out the baby boomers.
“I think they’re just trying to get rid of all my generation. The boomer ladies that, you know, that inherited their, you know, are widows. They inherited the money, so they got to go wherever the money is and figure out a way to get it from people.”
Macdonald responded to the outlandish theory, saying, “That would be a good thriller.”
Barr is currently spending quarantine in Hawaii, where she said, “we have one coronavirus case on the island,” and 99 percent of the residents are sequestered and “doing what they are supposed to do.” However, Johns Hopkins University begs to differ, reporting 371 confirmed cases of the illness across the Hawaiian islands.
