Rihanna’s dad Ronald Fenty, 66, revealed in a new interview with The Sun, that he battled the coronavirus.
However, Rihanna immediately sprung into action and sent her father a ventilator to Barbados, for his fight to stay alive.⠀⠀
“I thought I was going to die to be honest,” he said. “I have to say, I love you so much, Robyn.”⠀⠀⠀
Rihanna called and checked on her father every day during his fight with COVID-19.
“My daughter Robyn was checking in on me every day,” he added. “She did so much for me. I appreciate everything she has done.”
During his fight for survival, Ronald was self-isolated at the Paragon Isolation Center in Barbados, but is now resting home safely after testing negative for the virus, The Sun reports.
Aside from supplying her father a ventilator, Ronald said Rihanna gave him “more than” he needed to combat the deadly virus.
“I got a fever up inside of my nose. I had a fever across my lips. It was just a lot of fever,” he said, as he explained his symptoms. “I feared the worst. I thought I was going to die, honestly.”
After sharing his experience, Ronald now wants to tell everyone to stay home to prevent further spread of the virus warning how serious the virus is, even calling for the local government to “shut down.”
“I want everybody to stay home. This is a serious situation,” he stated. “More serious than people realize. Please stay home.”
