Netflix’s Tiger King is getting an eighth installment called Tiger King and I, which will be an after-show hosted by Joel McHale.
Hey, all you cool cats and kittens, you’re in luck. Netflix decided to give fans an eighth installment of the enormously popular docuseries. The show is set to premiere on Netflix this Sunday and will feature interviews with Tiger King’s John Reinke, Joshua Dial, John Finlay, Saff, Erik Cowie, Rick Kirkham, and Jeff and Lauren Lowe, according to Deadline.
The cast will discuss their lives after the release of the docuseries. “It’s eye-opening and hopefully funny,” McHale said in the announcement of the eighth installment. “The Tiger King and I — a Tiger King after-show hosted by Joel McHale and featuring brand new interviews with John Reinke, Joshua Dial, John Finlay, Saff, Erik Cowie, Rick Kirkman, and Jeff and Lauren Lowe — will premiere April 12,” wrote the streaming platform on Twitter.
Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness chronicles the lives and stories of tiger-zoo owners, particularly focusing on Joseph Maldonado-Passage, aka “Joe Exotic,” who was sentenced to 22 years in prison for plotting to murder big-cat owner Carole Baskin and other crimes. Since its release, the seven-episode series has garnered an 88 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes and an 87 percent audience score, Deadline reports. In addition, the series gained 34.3 million unique views in just the first 10 days.
