Being a promoter isn’t as easy as it sounds. It’s about having a strong network of people and a personality that naturally draws people to you. Baller Alert wants to take some time out to spotlight some of the hottest promoters across the country and thank them for not only continuously bringing us the livest parties, but helping us realize that all work deserves a little bit of play.
Here’s an interview we did with Donsville, Marketing Coordinator for G5ive Miami
BA: What is G5ive Miami and why has it become so popular in South Florida
D: G5ive Miami, is a sexy mature venue that was missing from the entertainment landscape in Miami, the vision was to create an adult playground that both locals and tourists could go out on any given night and enjoy. Miami is know for its sexiness and its nightlife and we merged the 2 together. We have a beautiful gentlemen’s club that is adjacent to a separate Lounge with its own entrance, bar and DJ where we do all kinds of events on a weekly basis. So know your able to get the best of both worlds in one venue.
BA: So basically its 2 clubs in 1.
D: Exactly
BA: Competition is very tuff in Miami in both those spaces, what have made you guys so popular so quickly
D: I think our management team’s vision and our commitment to keep the locals engaged on a daily/nightly basis has created an unreal buzz that has everyone talking about G5ive Miami. So many celebs have come to G5ive Miami to host or just hang out since we’ve re-opened in December. We’ve had Floyd Mayweather, Amber Rose and Black Chyna hosting together, Lil Wayne, Erica Mena, Neyo, Rick Ross, Nicole Murphy, Rico Love, Plies, countless reality show celebs, IG models and when we brought Mya in and she did her live performance that went viral that was a good look for her as well as for us. We also make sure that our local clients have a great time and never overlooked like our super popular “$2 Tuesdays” and every Wednesday we have our “Laugh Out Loud Comedy Lounge” with national comedians every week. Our Diva Fridays have become a ritual and must attend locally for the ladies and our Dade County Saturdays showcases some of the biggest National artists.
BA: Regular clubs come and go all the time in Miami unless they have the right ownership group, what makes you different from the 6month hot spot that fades away as quickly as they came?
D: G5ive Miami strength is derived from the team that has been assembled to manage and oversea the direction in this competitive entertainment city. Our manager/owner James “Puppy” Wright has been in the Gentlemen’s Club game for over 20 years and Darrell “Bam” Stenson was the GM at Club Play on South Beach, my company Donsville Media Group (DMG) has been doing marketing and production in South Florida for over 10 years and our investor Chuck Sanders is a real estate mogul and Antonio Bryant is a former NFL player and that has given us the financial strength needed to compete and excel.
BA: What can we expect from G5ive Miami in the near future
D: Well for Memorial Day Weekend 2015 we have Trey Songz hosting on Diva Friday the 22nd, Young Jeezy on Dade County Saturdays the 23rd , T.I. hosting on Sunday the 24th and The Game hosting on Monday the 25th and we will not be closing at all. We usually go until 6am, but for MDW2015 we will be open 24 hours a day and the kitchen will also be open. So for all the visitors coming to Miami for Memorial Day weekend make sure you end up at G5ive Miami and come see what all the excitement is about.
BA: How can people stay connected with G5ive Miami
