According to The Blast, 50 Cent wants the nearly $40,000 that is owed to him from ‘Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood’ star Teairra Marí from a previous judgment. He has filed a lien against Marí’s assets and property in hopes of collecting the money from the judgment that she has yet to pay.
Documents reportedly obtained by The Blast states that Marí has not paid one red cent towards the $30,000 in judgment and the additional sanctions that are due to the Music Mogul. He has allegedly sent out notices to the companies he thinks Marí may currently work with to hand over funds that may be owed to her directly to him.
In 2018, Marí sued 50 Cent and her ex-boyfriend Akbar Abdul-Ahad accusing the two of plotting to “sexually objectify, threaten, intimidate, humiliate and degrade her.” She alleged that her ex posted a sexually graphic video of her by logging into her personal Instagram account.
Marí claimed that after she deleted the video from her Instagram page, 50 Cent reposted the video on his account. 50 claimed the accusations in the lawsuit were false and said that at the time he posted the video, it was already reposted multiple times over the internet. The judge ruled in 50 Cent’s favor and awarded him $30,000 in lawyer fees.
Since then, the rapper has been trying to obtain the funds from Marí. But, in the previous court proceedings, Marí claimed she was broke and couldn’t pay the judgment.
As a result, 50 Cent has since tried to seize $100,000 of Marí’s ‘Love & Hip Hop’ paychecks. He accused her of actively concealing her assets to prevent him from taking them. The case is still active.
The court awarded 50 Cent an extra $5,000 after he claimed she is refusing to turn over her bank records.
In court documents, 50 Cent claimed the, “To date, Marí has failed to pay a single dime to Jackson in satisfaction of the Judgment despite earning over $100,000 this past year. Her previous claims under oath that she is “broke” no longer ring true, and it is more clear than ever that she has no intention of paying her debts.”
