Gabrielle Union and Ayesha Curry

Gabrielle Union, DwyaneWade, Ayesha Curry, and Steph Curry opened about relationships. Union said she didn’t always have faith in the Currys’ love.

Last week the couples hopped on an Instagram Live video and shared a conversation about their longtime friendship. Union ended up revealing that at one point, she didn’t believe that the Currys’ relationship would last. Union said she remembers running into Steph and Ayesha at a friend’s birthday before the two were married and told them they should enjoy their lives individually and have fun.

“‘You should just break up now and have sex with other people,'” Gabrielle said. “I used different language, but is that not what I told y’all both?” The basketball couple laughed in agreement that Union did share that tip with them. Union and Wade both shared that they were different when they were younger, and the actress mentioned that she just wanted to live her life when she was in her 20s, BET reports.

“She was a thot in ’98,” Wade said of Union. “I was!” Union replied. “I enjoyed my life,” Gabrielle said. She added, “And that is the exact advice I gave Ayesha and a young Steph at D. Wright’s 25th birthday party.”

The Currys seemed to have taken the opposite direction of Union’s advice and have now been married for eight years. The couple shares three children together, Riley Elizabeth Curry, Canon W. Jack Curry,  and Ryan Carson Curry.

Do you think Union gave solid advice?
