Scott Disick, star of Keeping Up with the Kardashians and ex of Kourtney Kardashian, is planning to sue the rehab facility he checked into after a photo of him was leaked.
On Monday, it was reported that Disick admitted himself into All Points North Lodge in Edwards, Colorado. Along with the report was a photo of Disick inside the facility. Originally it was announced that the reality star checked in for alcohol and cocaine abuse, an issue he has struggled with in the past. However, Disick’s lawyer, Marty Singer, says the reports are completely false.
“In an effort to finally come to terms and deal with the pain that Scott has been silently suffering for many years due to the sudden death of his mother, followed by the death of his father 3 months later, Scott made the decision to check himself into a rehab facility last week to work on his past traumas,” said Singer. TMZ reports that Disick’s journey to rehab started when he came to the conclusion that he hadn’t dealt with the passing of his parents well while quarantining alone.
The photo that was released of Disick being checked into the facility was allegedly taken by an employee rather than a patient, Singer insists. Singer says the photo was a complete HIPPA violation. Once the image aired publicly, Disick had a car pick him up to take him back to Los Angeles.
On Tuesday, Noah Nordheimer, President and CEO of All Points North Lodge, told TMZ that he knows about Disick’s leaked photo and says, “The protection of our clients’ personal and confidential information is of the utmost importance to us.” He added that patients are protected, and the facility does not disclose any information about the individuals they take in. Nordheimer says their APN policy is very strict and if it is found that “any information relating to any client was ever obtained from APN facilities and provided to a media outlet.” Lastly, he said the APN Lodge is “sickened by any publication who would report on an individual’s life struggles without their consent.”
