Forbes has released a new list of billionaires who are investing in Donald Trump.
The $1 million loan that Trump’s dad gave him is nothing compared to the millions of dollars 45’s newest donors are about to pay him. Some of them are republicans, casino owners, and one is an alleged sexual predator.
According to Forbes, Trump’s presidential campaign received contributions from 10 new donors. Amongst the supporters are billionaires or people who are married to one. The outlet reports the billionaires sent in their donations in January, February, and March, according to the latest filings in the Federal Election Commission. They say “birds of a feather, flock together,” and that sentiment is true in this case.
Former Democrat and West Virginia Governor Jim Justice is one of Trump’s donators. He recently told Forbes that people who criticized Trump over his coronavirus response “ought to have their ass kicked.” Justice, who works in the coal industry, is worth $1.2 billion and contributed $100,000 to Trump’s campaign.
If that’s not scary enough, Lori Milken is another one of his contributors. Milken is married to American financier Michael Milken, who pleaded guilty to securities fraud in 1990. According to Forbes, Trump issued him a pardon back in February.
Like Trump, his next donator, Steve Wynn, has also been accused of sexual misconduct. Wynn stepped down from his role as the finance chair of the Republican National Committee in 2018 amid sexual misconduct allegations. He eventually resigned as CEO and chairman of Wynn Resorts. Wynn has donated $468,500 and is worth $3.1 billion.
Chief Executive Officer of Las Vegas Sands Sheldon Adelson and his wife Miriam Adelson are also on Trump’s list of donators. Trump awarded Adelson the Presidential Medal of Freedom in November 2018. The Adelsons net worth is $30.6 billion, and the couple donated $492,600 to Trump’s first campaign back in August 2016. In addition, they give him $5 million for his 2017 inaugural committee. The Adelsons donated $1.16 million to Trump’s current campaign.
