Luka Magnotta, known from Netflix’s documentary Don’t F**k With Cats, will not be getting an early release from prison, despite reports.

Don’t F**k With Cats is a docuseries that tells the true story about Magnotta’s murder of Lin Jun, and the recorded events leading up to the incident.

Reports claimed that due to the dozens of positive COVID-19 cases at Magnotta’s maximum-security facility in Quebec, Canada, the convicted killer would be spared and set free early.

However, according to TMZ, those reports couldn’t be any more false.

Apparently, the Correctional Service of Canada (CSC), which is the head of all prisons in the Country, says Magnotta won’t be released for another 14 years, despite a pandemic.

“Mr. Magnotta is not eligible, under law, for any form of parole,” the agency told the tabloid.

Magnotta will be eligible for parole on  June 4, 2034.

The agency also cleared up any concern about COVID-19 being in its prison, informing the news source that there have been 15 positive tests from inmates with 11 fully recovering from the deadly virus. 15 employees working for the federal facility have tested positive as well. There have been zero reported deaths.

The CSC ensured that only “low-level” offenders, not a threat or a danger to society, are possibly being looked at for early release and supervised home arrest due to the coronavirus pandemic.
