Tony Montana, one of the most iconic characters in cinema history, is receiving a modern-day remake, and Universal Pictures have already pinned Luca Guadagnino as their director to bring their vision of the 1983 film to life.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Although no official details have been released on who will play the legendary Cuban refugee who found success as a Florida narcotic supplier, rumors suggest that Michael B. Jordan will take on the role of the infamous Scarface.
The story of Tony Montana has been remade a couple of times, with the most recent being in 1983 film, which star Al Pacino and Michelle Pfeiffer.
The reimagining of Scarface will stick to the original 1932 and 1983 story. But instead of taking place in South Florida, Tony Montana will build his drug empire in the City of Angels, Los Angeles, California.
Michael B Jordan is one of Hollywood’s top black leading actors, playing defining roles like Oscar Grant in the 2013 film, Fruitvale Station, Adonis Creed in the 2015 Rocky spinoff film, Creed, and Erik Killmonger in Marvel’s Black Panther.
