Three demonstrators have been arrested and charged for lighting police cars on fire with Molotov cocktails.
The incident occurred early Wednesday morning after police say the three individuals tracked officers to their homes.
Ebuka Chike-Morah, Alvin Joseph, and Lakaila Mack now all face multiple charges.
Officials were called sometime between 10 pm and midnight to report a car on fire in Duluth. By the time officers arrived, the fire was put out.
Shortly after, officials received another 911 call about a police car fire in Lawrenceville. But this time, the report identified a dark-colored car that had fled the scene. The fire was extinguished quickly but left minor damages to the car.
Joseph has been charged with two counts of 1st-degree arson, possession of manufacturing of destructive device, possession of tools for the commission of a crime, interference with government property, and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, among other charges. Mack and Chike-Morah face similar charges, with the exception of Joseph’s possession as a convicted felon charge.
