Former MLB Star Carl Crawford has been arrested for domestic violence. Crawford’s arrest stems from a May incident in which he is accused of choking his ex-girlfriend at gunpoint.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

According to documents obtained by TMZ Sports, the alleged victim claims the two had been in a relationship for two and a half years, but she recently called it quits.
She says she agreed to meet with Crawford on May 8th at her apartment in Houston to talk things out, but upon his arrival, things took a turn for the worse.
The woman said when Crawford arrived, he pulled a semi-automatic handgun from his pocket, “unloaded the clip and ejected a round of the pistol and began walking towards her holding the firearm.”
She says Crawford then began to question her, warning that “if she lied to him that he was going to hurt her.” When she tried to leave, she says he pushed her to the ground. Crawford then “held the gun in one hand and used the other hand to grab her by the head and neck, while asking her how long she had been dating a male acquaintance,” according to the legal docs.
While holding the gun with a firm grip on the woman’s neck, Crawford then asked the woman, “how long had she been having sex with the male.”
The woman claims she nearly passed out, until her 1-year-old daughter emerged, distracting Crawford, which gave her enough time to flee the scene.
Elsewhere in the court docs, the woman claims Crawford also fled the scene but left his weapon. Cops were called, and the woman’s injuries were observed.
Afterwards, she claims Crawford texted her, saying, “that wasn’t a beating u just mad I made u confess,” in addition to threats to the woman’s male acquaintance.

According to the publication, Crawford surrendered himself to officials on Thursday and is currently being held on a $10,000 bond. He is facing a charge of assault of a family member – impeding breathing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
