The View co-host Meghan McCain is responding after being called out by her neighbor for lying about the #BlackLivesMatter protests.
On Tuesday, McCain, tweeted about the protests that ensued after the murder of #GeorgeFloyd. “My neighborhood in Manhattan is eviscerated and looks like a war zone. DeBlasio and Cuomo are an utter disgrace. This is not America. Our leaders have abandoned us and continue to let great American cities burn to the ground and be destroyed. I never could have fathomed this,” the 35-year-old wrote.
Following her tweet, McCain’s neighbor, #KristenBartlett retweeted McCain’s tweet with the caption: “Meghan, we live in the same building, and I just walked outside. It’s fine.” McCain’s tweet ended up going viral, which prompted her to respond and admit that she wasn’t even in New York when she posted the tweet and claimed to be commenting on what she saw “on the news.”
“1. I am six months pregnant – a gossip organization is about to run a story of where me and my family are currently. I sent a tweet yesterday based on the news I saw happening in midtown we all have been watching all over different media platforms…,” the host wrote.
