We’re going through a tough time as we fight the good fight for justice, the end of police brutality, white supremacy and racism.
In the meantime, Baller Alert would like to keep you all informed, positively, mentally stimulated, and as at eace as you can be. Here are some podcasts that will keep you up to date on current events as well as the ones that can give you some laughs during this trying time.
1. Therapy for Black Girls- The therapy for Black Girls Podcast is hosted by licensed Psychologist Dr. Joy Harden and is a weekly chat about all things mental, personal development, and all the small decisions we can make to become the best possible versions of ourselves.
2. NPR Black Code Switch- What’s CODE SWITCH? It’s the fearless conversations about race that you’ve been waiting for! Hosted by journalists of color, our podcast tackles the subject of race head-on. We explore how it impacts every part of society — from politics and pop culture to history, sports and everything in between. This podcast makes ALL OF US part of the conversation — because we’re all part of the story.
3. Black Wall Street Today-
The Black Wall Street Today (BWST) radio show is focused on all things Black entrepreneurship and hosted by Virginia Tech alumnae Blair Durham, co-founder and co-President of Black BRAND. BWST occurs live in the studios of the historic and prestigious HBCU Hampton University. The BWST podcast is produced by using selected audio from the radio show and other Black BRAND events.
4. Your Money, Your Life- Alfred Edmond Jr. hosts this podcast series that covers money topics ranging from how to control your debt to our psychological relationship with our finances.
5. Black Queens Uncut- Real and honest conversation about culture, sex, dating, grinding and everyday life between four Black women. The series is hosted by Nakia Richardson, TK Trinidad, Candie Marie and Monique Loveless.
6. Diary of a Mad Black Man- In the Diary of a Mad Black, I discuss a variety of topics including mental health, relationships and basically anything you’d find in a diary with a variety of guests.
7. The Nod- The Nod tells the stories of Black life that don’t get told anywhere else, from an explanation of how purple drinking became associated with Black culture to the story how an interracial drag troupe traveled the nation in the 1940s. We celebrate the genius, the innovation, and the resilience that is so particular to being Black — in America, and around the world.
8. The Courtney Sanders Show- Welcome to the Courtney Sanders Show, formally known as “The Think and Grow Chick Podcast”. Join Top Millennial Speaker & Women’s Empowerment coach Courtney Sanders as she touches on entrepreneurship, lifestyle, finances, personal growth and spiritually. Hear personal stories and experiences from Courtney and featured guest on several topics.

10. Larry Wilmore: Black on the Air- Emmy Award—winning producer, actor, and comedian Larry Wilmore is back on the air, hosting a podcast where he weighs in on the issues of the week and interviews guests in the worlds of politics, entertainment, culture, sports, and beyond.
