Another one bites the dust!
Love and Hip-Hop: Atlanta star Karlie Redd has officially pulled the plug on her marriage to alleged scammer, Maurice Fayne, also known as “Arkansas Mo.”
According to Bossip, Redd called it quits last month after her husband was arrested for scamming the government out of more than $2 million in coronavirus stimulus money.
One week later, Redd was granted her divorce.
In docs obtained by the publication, Redd claimed the two had been living separately and that their marriage was “irretrievably broken” with no chance of reconciliation.
News of the filing comes just one month days after Fayne was arrested by the feds for allegedly misappropriating funds allocated for small businesses. However, according to Bossip, the reality star reportedly filed two days after Fayne’s arrest.
“The defendant allegedly stole money meant to assist hard-hit employees and businesses during these difficult times and instead greedily used the money to bankroll his lavish purchases of jewelry and other personal items,” Assistant Attorney General Brian A. Benczkowski said in a press release, at the time.
Not only did Fayne reportedly buy a Rolex, diamond bracelet, and diamond ring, he also reportedly spent $40,000 of the Paycheck Protection loan funds on child support.
After a search and seizure on his home, officials found $80,000 in cash, including $9,400 that was found in his pockets. Officials also discovered a 2019 Rolls-Royce Wraith purchased with the funds, in addition to the remaining $503,000 in three different accounts under Fayne’s name.
