Mark Cuevas and Lauren “LC” Chamblin of the Netflix reality dating show Love Is Blind have broken up over the weekend. Chamblin learned via a Reddit post that he was dating someone else without her knowledge.
Cuevas dated contestant Jessica Batten during the filming of the show and even proposed to her, but the pair ended things while on the show. After filming wrapped, Cuevas began dating Chamblin, another contestant on the show.
A source told ET that Cuevas and Chamblin became good friends and began casually dating, before calling it quits over the weekend after Chamblin found out he was dating someone else.
“It was never serious, but LC saw photos of him with another woman while on a trip and felt betrayed,” the source said.
Chamblin responded to the Reddit thread writing, “This is awkward because I live in Atlanta, and I’ve been dating Mark since the beginning of May….”
“I definitely just broke it off with Mark, so I really do appreciate you posting this and saving me the energy on dating another liar,” Chamblin added.
“Mark and I were casually dating, but talked about remaining exclusive, especially because of COVID-19, but that’s over now,” Chamblin said in a statement to ET. “The main thing I learned from the show and past relationships is that I deserve to be treated like a priority and not an option.”
In his own statement to ET, Cuevas said, “I enjoyed spending time with LC for a few weeks, but at no point were we in an exclusive relationship, as LC confirmed herself. I wish her the absolute best.”
Cuevas’ ex, Batten, weighed in on the comment section of an E-News post, responding to a comment that an Instagram user posted claiming Cuevas slept with multiple women while on the show.
“Wow. News to me, I only knew about one,” Batten commented.
