Bill Cosby’s Wife Speaks Out On Appeals Court Decision To Review Husband’s Sexual Assault Conviction; Claims #MeToo Movement Is Rooted In Racism

After it was recently announced that an appeals court would review Bill Cosby’s sexual assault conviction, Cosby’s wife, Camille Cosby, is speaking out. Bill, 82, is currently serving three to 10 years behind bars after being convicted of drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand in 2004.

Camille’s remarks come six years after her last major interview.

She spoke with ABC News following the announcement that the Pennsylvania Supreme Court agreed to review to components of Bill’s case.

“The state’s highest court has said, ‘Wait a minute. There are some problems here. They can be considered for an appeal,’” she said. “I’m very, very pleased.”

According to PageSix, the court will review the judge’s decision to let prosecutors call five of Cosby’s accusers and provide new evidence proving that Cosby had given women Quaaludes.

Camille also spoke on the #MeToo movement, placing part of the blame for Bill being in prison, on the movement.

“First of all, I don’t care what they feel,” she said regarding the activists of the movement. “The #MeToo movement and movements like them have intentional ignorance pertaining to the history of particular white women, not all white women, but particular white women, who have from the very beginning, pertaining to the enslavement of African people, accused black males of sexual assault without any proof whatsoever, no proof, anywhere on the face of the Earth.”

“I’m very concerned about so many young people with nanosecond attention spans. They cannot be just jumping around from the movement to another,” she added.
