On a Facebook thread, Air Force Lt. Col. Betsy Betsy Schoeller left disturbing comments in relation to the assault and murder of Vanessa Guillen.
“You guys are kidding, right? Sexual harassment is the price of admission for women into the good ole boy club,” Schoeller wrote under a friend’s post who shared an article concerning Guillen’s death.
“If you’re gonna cry like a snowflake about it, you’re gonna pay the price,” she continued.
For those not familiar, Guillen is the soldier whose body was recently found dismembered after confessing to loved ones she was sexually assaulted by an authority figure.
Schoeller’s comments ignited a fire.
“This woman was bludgeoned, hacked up and buried in a shallow grave,” a social media user wrote.
“This is like the whole ‘girls can’t wear revealing clothing because men can’t control their urges’ on a whole other level,” said another.
Students at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, where Schoeller is a senior lecturer at, have started a petition to have her removed from the university.
Schoeller’s comment has since been deleted.

Shame on you, Col. No woman deserves to be hacked up or abused. The good old boy network grows smaller every year, believe me I know that.
Why do we expect trained killers to be empathic? Killing people no matter the “reason”, darkens the soul. Some more than others. Period.
