Remember when Tyga was served papers at the launch of his new L.A. Gear sneakers? Well, now we know what he was being served for.
Back in 2010, Tyga rented a fancy Calabasas home and apparently was a little in over his head. Eventually he fell waaaaay behind in rent. So behind that the landlord went to court and got a judgement for nearly $90k in back pay. Like with the rent, Tyga never paid the judgement either, so the landlord took Tyga back to court. The papers Tyga was served was to make sure he showed up for court.
The landlord wants to know where Tyga is keeping his assets, assets that can be seized to pay back Tyga’s debt. Tyga was a no-show for that court date, unfortunately, and in an attempt to make peace offered to pay the landlord’s $1,090 lawyer bill. $1,090 when you owe $90,000? Obviously that wouldn’t go over well. And it didn’t, because when Tyga wrote the check, it bounced. What’s worse is that the landlord follows Tyga on instagram and caught Tyga posting pics of stacks of hundred dollar bills…money he clearly doesn’t keep in a bank or else his checks wouldn’t be made of rubber.
Needless to say Tyga’s landlord is foaming at the mouth. He demands Tyga pay the full judgment, plus interest, which has now swelled to $124k, and if he doesn’t pay, the landlord is seeking a warrant for Tyga’s arrest since he failed to show in court.
Let this be a lesson, live within your means and stop posting stupid stuff on social media. Tyga better get a Kardashian loan!
