Last week, Floyd Mayweather Jr. set the world into  a frenzy when he stated that he was better than Muhammad Ali. His exact quote was “No one can ever brainwash me to make me believe that Sugar Ray Robinson and Muhammad Ali was better than me.” His reasoning for this was Ali only fighting in one weight-class & the opponents they chose for him to fight. Mayweather did pay his respects but Muhammad Ali wasn’t going to let him off that easily.
The boxing legend took to Twitter to remind Floyd Mayweather Jr. that he will always be the greatest. He sent a tweet out saying “Don’t you forget, I am the greatest!”
Floyd Mayweather had someone else on his side with George Foreman saying, “Pound for pound, Floyd is better than me and Muhammad Ali ever were.” Foreman believes that this generation is way more talented & better fighters all in all.
Muhammad Ali is making a statement for anyone who thinks that he is no longer the greatest. Floyd Mayweather Jr’s  antics have gotten a response from the legend himself which is sure to fuel him even more for his biggest fight ever.
