Portland ‘Bomber’s’ Grandma Outs Him By Mistake To Federal Agents

The violent protests that have been taking place in Portland do not seem to be slowing down. On Tuesday morning, videos circulated of a rioter throwing a makeshift bomb at the Mark O. Hatfield Federal Courthouse. Two days later, the bomber was identified by a woman, no other than his grandmother.

Identified as 18-year-old Gabriel “Rico” Agard-Berryhill, Karla Fox, his grandma, had no idea she would be the person leading the police right to her grandson.

In the video, Agard-Berryhill was wearing a green protective vest with the words “ICON” printed across the front. When Fox became aware of the video, she quickly was able to point out the bomber as her grandson as she is the one who purchased the vest for him online.

Under the Twitter handle “@TRUMPSGIRL2020,” Fox tweeted, “This is my only grandson, I love him to death, and I didn’t know he was going to do such a bad thing. I had been posting several things about the Antifa and BLM, he knows I am against those riots big time … he chose his poison.”

Agard-Berryhill claims that the explosives were given to him by an unknown protestor and was told that it was a strobe firework that would cause no harm or damage.

According to The New York Post, “Agard-Berryhil seemed to confess to misguided involvement in the incident” but, he did not confirm that he was the bomber. However, later on, he told his probation officer — one he has for a previous felony, he wanted to turn himself in.

According to The Post, he was arrested by U.S. Marshals and is charged with felony arson. If convicted, he faces up to five years in prison.

“No legitimate protest message is advanced by throwing a large explosive device against a government building,” Oregon District U.S. Attorney Billy William, said. “Mr. Agard-Berryhill’s actions could have gravely injured law enforcement officers positioned near the courthouse, other protestors standing nearby, or himself.”
