A video that spread online in early August 2020 shows a man in Nokomis, Florida, declaring himself a white supremacist and then striking a female restaurant employee in the face, according to local reports.
The man, identified in reports as Nicholas, can be heard yelling about the Aryan Nation, a white supremacist hate group, and voicing support for President Donald Trump before trying to get inside the restaurant. When people asked him to calm down because children were present, he responded that he did not care and told them to call the president.
Reports say an employee tried to keep him from coming inside. According to accounts of the video, he then threw a punch that landed on her face.
Staff and bystanders quickly got him to the ground, and he was arrested. Local reports said he was charged with battery and disturbing the peace and remained in custody at the time of publication.
