Dating is such an intricate game nowadays in this generation. Every little details is thought about & calculated before being put into action. One of the most recent things I’ve been pondering is does the price of the date really matter? If it does, should it really matter? If you go around and ask, the average woman will probably tell you that price doesn’t matter — that it’s the “thought” that counts. Haha. That all sounds good, but in reality girls want that first date to be out of this world. Cause in reality, the amount of money you spend is equated into how much “thought” you put into the date nowadays.
So here’s the scenario: Guy ask you out on a date. He picks you up. Y’all pull up to Chipotle. What’s the problem? Even if it is about the “thought”, a guy taking you to Benihanas for the first date will probably receive more favor than a guy taking you to Chipotle for the first date in the long run, right?
Even though the date might go great either way, but I’m talking about the moment you pull up to wherever he decided to take you. Pulling up to Benihanas is going to earn the guy more first impression points than my mans with a taste for Chipotle. And first impressions matter most right? Why is it such a natural tendency to put a price tag on something? Even though I’m sure it may not be a deciding factor it’s one of those things that lead to the complications of dating.
You have to put that little extra thought into what she’ll think about you if you don’t bring her to a more expensive restaurant. Why does this have to be a factor? Who says because I take you to Chipotle I didn’t put as much thought as the other guy? I might have seen you tweet about Chipotle before & figured you would love to go there. Isn’t that a well-executed thought?
The price of the date can never be an accurate indication of what will come from the relationship & the thoughts behind the choice of the date could have more meaning than you may ever know.
This leads me back to my original question: Does the price of the date really matter & if it does should it really matter? Let me know what you think!
