Kim Kardashian says she’s trying to save her marriage with Kanye West.
It’s been a drama-filled year for the West, Kardashian and Jenner crew. It was just last month that West went on an anti-abortion rant and revealed that he and Kardashian almost considered aborting their first-born child, North. The musician also insulted his mother-in-law Kris Jenner by calling her a white supremacist and comparing her to Kim Jong-un. Nevertheless, the two just returned from a trip to the Dominican Republic; Kim says she’s not giving up on their marriage.
A source close to the couple told Us Weekly that, “Kim is focused on healing her relationship with Kanye and has been busy taking care of their kids and him.” They continued: “She has been helping and supporting him a ton while he’s been struggling with his mental health and wants him to know and feel that she is there for him through thick and thin.” The insider says, “quarantine has been hard on Kanye and, in turn, has been difficult for her too.”
” Their marriage definitely faced some hardships and was just hanging on with Kanye not being able to fully be present for their family, but ultimately Kim wants to keep everyone together and work things out for their kids,” the source continued. The two spent some time together with the family in DR and seem to be on the right route to fixing their marriage, the source explained. ‘Kim and Kanye are getting along. They both seem much happier.”
While Kardashian has been putting in the work to salvage the relationship, the source says that the reality star is “exhausted” by the stress of dealing with West’s bipolar disorder and his episodes on top of tending to the care of their children, The Daily Mail reports. In the meantime, West is also sticking to his guns about running for president, and “Kim is not happy about it.” But the source says the socialite says that “isn’t her focus.”
What she is focused on is her four children, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. In response to his recent outbursts, Kardashian said, “Those that understand mental illness or even compulsive behavior know that the family is powerless unless the member is a minor.” She added that “his words sometimes do not align with his intentions,” referring to West’s claims that he has been attempting to get a divorce for years. Since then, West has apologized for his statements. “I would like to apologize to my wife Kim for going public with something that was a private matter. I did not cover her like she has covered me. To [sic] Kim, I want to say I know I hurt you. Please forgive me. Thank you for always being there for me.”
