Former Seahawks Rookie Apologizes After Trying to Sneak A Woman Into Team Hotel Dressed As Player

As the NFL continues to prepare for the forthcoming season amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, former Seattle Seahawks rookie Kemah Siverand is hopeful he’ll land a new job, despite his reckless and inappropriate behavior.

On Monday, Siverand took to social media to apologize for his actions, after trying to sneak a girl into the team hotel. To make matters worse, he dressed the woman up as a player in an attempt to conceal her identity.

Although the effort was creative, Siverand was caught and almost immediately cut for putting himself and his entire organization at risk. Now, 10 days later, he’s apologizing.

“After taking time to reflect and really consider the seriousness of my actions, I have tried to find the appropriate words to apologize to all of those affected by my poor decision and immaturity,” Siverand wrote in his statement. “I’ve privately apologized to Coach [Pete] Carroll, John Schneider, and the Seahawks organization. I violated team rules, which would have been unacceptable in normal times, but absolutely inexcusable now during a pandemic. I understand my lapse in judgement put my teammates and the organization at risk, thankfully no one else was affected by my actions,” he added, in part.
But now that he has come to terms with his fate, he’s hopeful a new team will soon give him a chance.

“I want to make sure this one mistake will not define me,” said the baller, who signed to the Seahawks after going undrafted after Oklahoma State. “I will continue training harder than ever to continue pursuing my dreams of playing in the National Football League,” he said.

I made a mistake, let people down, and am truly sorry. Thank you to everyone that reached out to offer support. pic.twitter.com/bBtkAwtCyq
