Donald Trump has moved 2.3 million in donations from his reelection campaign to his private businesses to pay for rent, food, and other expenses.

According to a filing from the Federal Election Commission, $38,000 in donations went to rent just last month at Trump Tower Commercial LLC, which owns his Fifth Avenue building in Manhattan.

Since Trump took office, his campaign has paid Trump Tower Commercial LLC $1.5 million.

Forbes reports that the Republican National Committee worked with the campaign to pay Trump Tower Commercial LLC an additional $225,000.

In July, Trump Corporation, his management company, got $8,000 from the campaign for “legal and IT consulting.” The Trump Corporation has taken $281,000 from the campaign since Trump became president.

Forbes reports that $3,000 went to Trump Restaurants LLC to pay its rent and has gotten $117,000 since Trump came into office.

Trump Hotel Collection received $1,000 in July alone, and the campaign has paid Trump’s hotels $226,000 since he’s been, president.

And this isn’t the first time Trump has been called out for using the presidency to fund his personal businesses. Forbes reported in 2018 similar findings in which money was moved from his campaign to his business.

“The campaign complies with all campaign finance laws and FEC regulations,” a spokesperson for the Trump campaign said in a statement to Forbes. “The campaign pays fair market value under negotiated rental agreements and other service agreements in compliance with the law. The campaign works closely with campaign counsel to ensure strict compliance in this regard.”
