Chadwick Boseman Dies At 43

On Friday, August 28th, Chadwick Boseman passed away after battling stage 4 colon cancer. The news hit many of us hard because of the amazing actor he was and the roles that he played. Boseman blessed our homes with “42,” “Get On Up,” “Black Panther,” “21 Bridges,” and so many more.

When “Black Panther” made its debut to the big screens, our children were able to see someone that looks like them as a super hero. He brought so much love and excitement into our homes.

We have all heard the phrase “give people their flowers while they can still smell them” and I believe we did just that. “Black Panther” broke box office records around the world and he was able to see and hear how the world feels about him being such an inspirational actor.

Back in 2018, Chadwick Boseman surprised many fans on ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’ as they shared what “Black Panther” means to them but what they didn’t know was that Boseman was right behind the curtain, waiting to surprise them. The actor was so humble as he talked and greeted each fan.

The passing of the 43-year-old actor has affected us all but to know that he was fighting a real battle while still making movies for his fans, visiting terminally ill children, and countless interviews has us appreciating the actor even more.

In the honor of the actor, Twitter fans showed their love and appreciation for Boseman with the trending hashtag #ThankYouChadwickBoseman.

He had two choices:
1. Feel like a victim of life and bow to colon cancer, cry, get pissed at everything and everyone.

2. Look the devil in the eyes and say "I am not this sickness, I will not stop and I'll fight till the end"

He walked with his head held high with intelligence and positivity radiating off of him as he fought colon cancer in silence. Such an inspiration. Gave our little black boys someone to look up to. Our hero #ThankYouChadwickBoseman
