Kim Kardashian is reportedly being “incredibly patient” with Kanye West’s presidential “walk,” but sources say their marriage “still needs work.”
It’s been two months since West, 43, launched his presidential campaign, and in that time, the artist has spent $6 million of his own money putting it together. Meanwhile, Kardashian is home in Los Angeles with the kids while her husband works in Wyoming. The two have been through a tough few months as a couple, but sources close to the family say they have been “doing well” despite the recent drama. Sources added that West has also found himself in a “better mental state.”
“Kim and Kanye are doing well. Kanye is in a better mental state. Their marriage still needs work, but Kim is getting across to him. He is not shutting her out and wants to be with his family,” an insider told PEOPLE Magazine. “Kim continues to be incredibly patient and understanding about Kanye’s desire to run for president. She just wants to get through the next few months peacefully. She is kind of standing back while Kanye does whatever makes him happy,” the source added.
There were serval rumors cycling around that the couple’s marriage was under fire, but the source says the pair have been making an effort to work it all out. During West’s bipolar breakdown, the family went on a trip to reportedly save their marriage. But soon after, more reports came out that West had been self-isolating at his Wyoming property away from his wife and children. Insiders say that West “wants to live” there. However, a DailyMail.com source said that West was “never living apart from” from Kim. The Daily Mail source said West “does a lot of work in Wyoming, and she works in LA. They’re focused on their family now and rarely talk politics.” Another source commented on Kardashian’s current mind frame. “Between the kids, work, and dealing with Kanye’s bipolar episodes, it’s been hard for her to think clearly,” said the source.
All in all: the two have still been going through their own fair share of drama, but West says he won’t be stepping down from his run for the presidency. “Kanye seems set on what he calls “God’s plan” – that he becomes president. He’s saying it’s a higher calling,” said an insider.
