Back in June, Tory Lanez allegedly opened fire on Megan The Stallion, striking her in both her feet.
Although details initially were scarce, Megan Thee Stallion took to social media last month to silence critics who doubted her injuries and questioned her role in the shooting.
In the video, Thee Stallion detailed the incident and revealed that Lanez shot her for no reason, despite earlier reports that claimed she stepped on glass and was the aggressor. She also called out Lanez and his team for feeding stories to the press to shift the blame.
But, according to TMZ, Lanez apologized almost immediately after the incident and blamed it all on the alcohol.
“I know u prolly never gone talk to me again, but I genuinely want u to know I’m sorry from the bottom of my heart,” Lanez allegedly texted Meg, nearly 15 hours after she claimed he shot her in the feet.
Although the rapper made no mention of the shooting, he explained his unruly behavior was due to the fact that he “was just too drunk.”
“None the less shit should have never happened, and I can’t change what I did,” Lanez said, “I just feel horrible.”
Again, adding, “Cuz I genuinely just got too drunk.” According to TMZ, Meg never responded.
Lanez has not been arrested or charged for the shooting, but L.A. County is still considering a felony assault with a firearm charge. In the meantime, he’s facing charges for possession of a concealed weapon.
