Rapper Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson continues his influence on the Starz network with the development of two new shows, which will see the “Candy Shop” rapper serving as executive producer under his deal with the premium cable company.

50 Cent’s first series will be an untitled drama inspired by the life of sports agent and attorney Nicole Lynn. The series will showcase the becoming of a driven young, Black woman as she works her way to the top of the male-dominated field of sports agents. It will be inspired by events in her life that led to her becoming the first African American woman to represent a top 3 pick in the NFL draft.

For this series, Tasha Grey, who worked as a writer and co-executive producer on the “Power” prequel “Rasing Kanan,” will serve as a writer and executive producer on the project. Lynn will also serve as an executive producer along with 50 Cent.

His second project, “Moment in Time: The Massacre,” is characterized as a periodic anthology series that will examine the “true stories in which iconic hip hop moments collided with the sensational and sometimes criminal events behind-the-scenes,” according to Variety. The first season will show how the rivalry between 50 Cent and The Game resulted in a street war, forcing G-Unit to be at odds with music impresario Jimmy Henchman, leading to a “murder-for-hire plot” and Henchman serving life in behind bars.

Abdul William, who previously did work on “The New Edition Story” and “The Bobby Brown Story” on BET, will serve as a writer and executive producer for “Moment in Time.”

Both projects will be developed under 50 Cent’s company G-Unit Film & Television and overseen by Starz senior vice president of original programming Kathryn Tyus-Adair, on behalf of the network.

50 Cent’s previous work with Starz includes “Power,” which brought in record-breaking ratings for the network during its six-season run. Since then, four “Power” spinoffs have been developed at Starz, with the first — “Power Book II: Ghost” — having been launched on Sept. 6. 50 Cent serves as executive producer for all of the spinoffs as well.
