Netflix ‘Cheer’ Star Jerry Harris Arrested For Child Porn

21-year-old Netflix star Jerry Harris has been arrested on production of child pornography charges.

The Chicago Tribune reports that the cheerleader was charged in federal court on Thursday.

The FBI has been investigating Harris after allegations of inappropriate sexual misconduct with a minor surfaced.

Two 14-year-old twin brothers told USA Today that they were harassed, both online and at competitions. The abuse started when the twins were 13, and Harris was 19. In 2019, Harris reportedly asked one of the brothers to have sex with him at two of the cheer competitions.

USA Today was provided with screenshots of text messages and social media conversations between the boys, which they say are from accounts linked to Harris. Some of the conversations and messages were of him requesting nude photos or sex. One of the conversations from a ”.jerryharris” Snapchat account responded to a photo of one of the boys stretching his leg above his head.

Harris was arrested shortly after his home was raided in Naperville, Illinois.

The allegations were reported to police by Varsity, the global authority of competitive cheerleading.

In a letter that Varsity’s Chief Legal officer Burton Brillhartnwrote he said, ”as a result of the recent allegation, we have barred this person from having any affiliation with Varsity Brands or any of its subsidiaries or affiliates, now and the future.”
