Odell Beckham Jr. is speaking out after a rumor about him spread online this week. The claim came from Slim Danger, the mother of Chief Keef’s child, during an appearance on the No Jumper podcast with hosts Celina Powell and Aliza. Slim Danger made sexual allegations about the Cleveland Browns wide receiver and said he once flew her out to meet him. The claims are her account only, and Odell has not confirmed any of it.
As the clip circulated, Odell seemed to respond on Instagram with a photo and a caption saying nobody can knock him off his pivot no matter what is thrown his way.
He then addressed it directly in an interview with Maverick Carter on Uninterrupted. Odell said responding to rumors is a lose lose situation, because staying quiet can make people think it is true while defending yourself can look like hiding something. He said he cares about how people see him and has always felt the urge to defend himself.
He called it the funniest rumor he has dealt with in his career, and said a friend sent him the clip and he could not stop laughing. “I have never, ever in my life heard this one,” he said. Odell added that people even brought it up to him on the field.
Slim Danger has not publicly responded to his comments in the reports we reviewed.
