Brett Hankison, the ex LMPD detective involved in the fatal drug raid that left 26-year-old Breonna Taylor dead, has pleaded not guilty to charges related to the incident.
Hankison stood before the court on Monday, via video, to be arraigned on three counts of wanton endangerment. The officer was one of three narcotics officials who fired their weapons on the night of the deadly raid.
Although none of the officers were charged for Taylor’s death, despite her being struck multiple times by the officers involved, Hankison was fired and charged for “blindly” firing into neighboring apartments.
Now, he is pleading guilty to those charges. He is due for a pretrial conference on October 28, but under the terms of his release on bond, he has been stripped of all firearms.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
