Trump‘s physicians just gave a press conference to update the public on his condition, but his chief doctor carefully dodged questions about some major issues, including when Trump tested positive.
According to TMZ, based solely on what the doctor did reveal, Trump hid his diagnosis and put hundreds of people at risk of exposure to COVID-19.
Dr. Conley told reporters that Trump was diagnosed 72 hours ago (which would’ve been Wednesday) even as he was actively campaigning and attended a fundraiser with hundreds of people. Trump did not reveal his COVID diagnosis until Thursday evening.
Dr. Conley also played coy with reporters who asked him straight out questions about his temperature and whether Trump had been on oxygen. The doctor would only repeat that Trump was not on oxygen “right now,” sidestepping questions from dogged reporters who wanted to know if he had been on oxygen at any point.
Conley finally conceded that Trump had not been on oxygen Thursday or Friday, and he would not answer if Trump was ever on oxygen.
The doctor described that Trump’s symptoms of nasal congestion, cough, a temperature, and lethargy- were mild. He also told reporters that Trump is in his suite working, telling doctors, “I feel like I could walk out of here today.”
