A central Florida man has been arrested and charged in the death of his mother, authorities said. No motive has been given.
NBC Miami reports that Adam, 37, was arrested Thursday at his mother’s home in Sanford and charged with second degree murder. He is being held without bond.
According to the report, family members told detectives that Adam called them early Thursday morning about an unspecified emergency at the home. When they arrived, they said he tried to keep them from entering his mother’s bedroom. Family members got in and found his mother, 68 year old Vicki, with obvious signs of trauma, and called 911. They held Adam until deputies arrived and declared Vicki dead at the scene.
The charge is an allegation, and jail records did not list an attorney who could comment for him at the time of the report.
