Armina, the project director for Solange’s Saint Heron and a co owner of the Exodus Goods boutique, was stabbed multiple times outside a home in New Orleans on a Wednesday in April 2015. NOLA.com reported she was stabbed 10 times and that her wounds were considered potentially fatal, including at least one to her neck. After multiple surgeries, she remained in critical condition.
Police arrested a 26 year old woman named Arronesia and booked her on aggravated battery. According to reports, the charge was upgraded on Friday to attempted second degree murder because of how serious Armina’s injuries were. A charge is an accusation, and Arronesia has not been convicted of anything.
NOLA.com also reported that Arronesia told investigators she stabbed Armina but said she acted in self defense. She claimed Armina confronted her, yelled at her to leave, and began hitting her and pulling her hair before she swung a small folding knife. That is her account, and it has not been confirmed by a court.
Solange attended Arronesia’s first court hearing on Thursday in support of her friend.
Baller Alert is sending well wishes to Armina and her loved ones for a full recovery.
