Actress Tasha Smith, known for “Why Did I Get Married” and “Empire,” filed for divorce from her husband Keith in December 2014. Because she was the higher earner, reports at the time said she was ordered to pay him $7,000 a month in spousal support, on top of an earlier payment of about $50,000.
In April 2015, Bossip published a report quoting an unnamed source who made several allegations about the marriage. The source claimed Keith spent Tasha’s money freely, including large shopping sprees, and that he handled booking money in ways that left her with less than she was owed. The source also claimed he had been married several times before. Bossip did not identify the source, and none of these claims were independently confirmed.
Keith had not publicly responded to these allegations in the reporting we saw. Until there is a response or documents that back things up, treat all of it as one anonymous source’s account of a divorce that was still moving through the process.
