Orthodontist Indicted On Attempted Murder Charge For Attacking Ex’s New Girlfriend

A Westchester County woman has been charged with attempted murder, among other charges, for allegedly attacking her ex-fiance’s new girlfriend.

Alika Crew, 41, was arraigned on Wednesday for allegedly stabbing her ex-fiance’s girlfriend on the left side of her neck on July 28. The slash caused “significant and possibly permanent damage to the woman’s neck.”

According to LoHud, the orthodontist hid behind the victim’s front seat before attacking her from behind with a razor and chasing her down the street. The victim’s hand was cut when she tried to push Crew away during the attack.

The alleged attack took place just a few blocks away from the home Crew still shared with her former fiancé. The victim was leaving after having spent the night at the residence. 

When neighbors came to help the woman after the attack, Crew fled the scene. She later returned and pretended to be a concerned neighbor. The victim was able to identify Crew as her attacker to authorities, the publication reports.

Crew is free on $200,000 bail, and her next scheduled court appearance is set for November 2.
